    WHAT HAPPENED?

Manchester United are all set to demolish their iconic Old Trafford home as they plan to build a brand new 100,000-capacity stadium by splashing out £2bn. On Tuesday morning, the Red Devils released a promo video of the new ground, with club legend Gary Neville lending his voice to the two-minute-long clip. While a section of fans did not approve of INEOS' design, Amorim revealed his true feelings about the new stadium when quizzed on Wednesday.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The 40-year-old also opened up on the kind of relationship he shares with the club's part owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe as he added: "It's really good since day one, we are really blunt and honest with each other, that is our character, similar. I have always felt support of the board from Sir Jim, I cannot tell you the conversations: simple, clear, honest."

Ratcliffe had earlier defended Amorim amid the club's poor run of form while also admitted the boss can be emotional at times.
