WHAT HAPPENED?
Wrexham have confirmed that Andy Cannon met with a specialist on Tuesday and will undergo surgery on his ruptured ACL next week. This follows after he was stretchered off during the club's 2-1 win over Mansfield Town in League One on Sunday. With the 28-year-old's season ending on a tragic note, his team-mate McClean took to social media to send out a heartfelt message.

On his Instagram story, McClean uploaded a photo of himself hugging Cannon while celebrating a goal and in the caption he wrote: "You'll be back before ye know it bud, you got this."

Cannon, who had appeared in 28 matches across all competitions in the 2024/25 campaign, was a key player in Phil Parkinson's side. His ACL injury comes as a massive blow for the Welsh side, who are pushing for a third-straight promotion. They are currently third in the league, 10 points behind leaders Birmingham City.
